Dogs Trust
Since 1891, we’ve been working for a better future for dogs and the people who love them.
When a dog is in distress, we care for them. When a dog needs a home, we find them a loving family. When an owner needs a helping hand (or paw) – or they just can’t cope, we’re ready to step in.
For every dog, for every owner, we’re by their side through thick and thin, throughout their lives. The bond they have is special to us. It changes lives, making each day happier and more complete. It’s why we believe A dog is for life.®
Discover who we are, what we do, and how we’ll never stop fighting to make tomorrow’s world a better place for all dogs. https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/

Woodland Trust
We are the UK's largest woodland conservation charity.
Our vision is a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature.
Since 1972, we've been standing up for the UK's native woods and trees. We have 500,000 members and supporters and more than 1,000 woods of our own which are free to visit anytime.
Our head office is in Grantham, Lincolnshire and we have regional offices in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland too plus a network of volunteers all over the UK.
We create havens for wildlife by planting millions of trees every year, campaign for new laws to protect ancient woodland and restore damaged ancient woods so they can breathe again.

Forestry England
Forests care for us. Together we care for forests.
For over 100 years, we have been growing, shaping and caring for over 1,500 of our nation’s forests for the benefit and enjoyment of all, for this generation and the next.
With your help and support, we care for more land and trees than any other organisation in England. Shaping landscapes for people, wildlife and timber. We’ve built over 1,800 miles of walking, running and cycling trails, supply England’s largest amount of sustainably-sourced timber, and conserve thousands of plant and animal species. We care for some of the country’s most important habitats, home to our rarest wildlife. We are recovering vital ecosystems and returning missing species to our landscapes.
Forests are vital for the future of our planet. They improve the health and wellbeing of everyone. With careful planning and expert management, our forests will continue to thrive. Forests store carbon, reduce flooding and provide people of all ages and abilities with fresh air and spaces to breathe. We are always thinking beyond today, planning and planting forests that will help create a sustainable future. https://www.forestryengland.uk/

Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing
MWGF is a fishing show that is not really about fishing. In each episode comedians, Bob Mortimer (61, portly, unskilled) and Paul Whitehouse (62, slender, highly skilled) spend a couple of days by the river in pursuit of that week's target fish. While fishing they meditate on life, friendship, and death.
They fish to help each other get over treatment for nearly fatal heart problems: three stents for Whitehouse and a triple bypass for Mortimer. https://www.mortimerandwhitehouse.co.uk/

Golden Retrievers Essex Group Facebook Page
We are a friendly group of Golden Retriever owners who have regular get togethers at Hylands House, Chelmsford as well as other venues around the county. We hope you will use the group to arrange meeting up with fellow Goldie owners and to post info you think would be useful : health and training tips, doggie recipes, dog friendly cafes and pubs, recommended walks, local shows and events etc etc. And of course friendly banter and lots of photos of your lovely dogs.
We have several volunteer Admins who look after various aspects of the group but we are basically hoping it will run itself! https://www.facebook.com/groups/2177379729023155/
